Introductions

Since we are working on introductions this week, I'd like to introduce my family. The son I never had, this is my boy Tonka. He's a 5 year old English Bulldog and makes me laugh every day. He's always there for me no matter what goes on, always there to greet me after a long day, always there to comfort me if I need a little extra attention and love. For those of you who have pets, you know they are more than just pets, they are part of our families...
He's usually got a big quirky smile and always willing to lend a paw and help, more like be right in the middle of the action!
Or you can find him napping and dreaming of the long Dog Days of Summer....
He has a pretty extensive wardrobe and lots of costumes to choose from. He's always fashion forward and ready for a spur of the moment fashion shoot, just for the sake of a good chuckle. He's my muse. And he's always a ham for the camera! We have alot of fun around here, as you will see.I'm sure you will be getting many more glimpses, of the bits and pieces, and my life with my bulldog Tonka. Most of all,I adore him! And he adores me,and he appreciates me for who I am,and he loves my creative spirit too! Who could ask for more than that? ~Have a Beautiful Day!

Welcome

Hello there, and thanks for stopping by... It's always nice to welcome new friends! I would like to start by introducing myself and tell you a little about me. If I had to describe my style, I would say it's a little bit of vintage meets traditional, and everything in between. How's that for a description? Much like my artistic style,it's an eclectic, and colorful mix. I can't say that I do just one thing,I enjoy a little bit of everything! From sewing vintage linens,to paper collage, creating paper books,to making floral hair fancies.Glue, scissors and glitter, stamps and inks are a few of my daily favorites.I also really love to create different and textural paint finishes of all things. I love to learn new techniques and love distressing items to create a vintage feel. I have a true love of all things beautiful, and it is difficult for me to define myself to just one thing. I think that's what makes an artist's life interesting. This past year I have had the luxury of converting an extra room in my home, into a creative studio space. A place that I can call my own,my sanctuary,a place where everything has meaning to me, and I can be inspired from everything within it,a place to create. It is the one place in the world that is safe, and where anything goes.A place to share with friends and laugh,a place of imagination and fantasy,a place to be completely energized, and a place to be quiet and be completely tranquil. It's truely the best gift I have ever recieved, and I can't wait to share with you the things that come from this very special place in my heart...
